From the RIP thread, David Axlerod being a rock climber. The inverse of non climbing claims to fame: notable people of the world who are also climbers. Anyone know of any interesting ones?Aside from the 'actor' Jason Momoa, and well regarded sci-fi novelist and Guardian contributor M John Harrison...There must be loads...?
Met legendary tour manager Sam Cutler (the Stones - including Altamont and the Hyde Park free concert - The Grateful Dead, and more) at a show in Philly last night. Total geezer, rock and roll legend, and, seemingly, really friendly bloke. We bought his book off him and he wrote a lovely dedication. They offered to keep it behind the desk until the end of show. We then went on to have a bit of a rock and roll evening ourselves and totally forgot to pick it up at the end of the evening. Bugger.
David Lee Roth
Just bumped into Ian Brown in my local vegan co-op. I did a double take then just stared, he kindly just gave me a wry grin and kept on shopping.A step up from the standard Badly Drawn Boy sighting......
