Singing along to Bob Jovi was the high/lowlight.

Is that a Shirehorses style tribute band?
You've not heard me sing - that'd be a compliment.

Maybe we could use this place for Lardathon meets?

Fiend's got a holiday planned there. Might not like the walk in though.

Another useful link.
http://www.t-nation.com/training/hierarchy-of-fat-loss

Quote from: article
The Fat Loss Paradox

Harder, shorter training works better than easier, longer training. Attack body fat with a passion and a single-minded goal. The best way to do this is with an all-out assault implementing the hierarchy I described. It really is that simple.

Really good clear article that, but info like this is preaching mostly to the converted. 'It really is that simple' - good nutrition and high intensity work = fat loss and growth or preservation of lean muscle.

It really isn't that simple though because there still exists the flip side of the coin - the extremely pleasurable and addictive lure for the majority of the population that is drinking alcohol and eating lots of tasty calorie-dense food.

It's a bit like saying avoiding the negative side effects of crack cocaine really is very simple - simply avoid consuming crack cocaine.

I understand what you mean, but the aim of the article is to provide info about the strategy and physiology of fat loss, leaving mental aspects behind.
There are articles about mental strategies as well, but that isn't one of them.

If I weighed 10st 13 I'd be the best boulderer on the planet it's that simple, unless Jim had liposuction to get down to that weight of 2 Bennetts! Then I'd be the 2nd best

Time to commit. 13 stone 2 lb and need to be back to 12 stone. Living in Qatar and birth of first child are contributing factors, but enough with the excuses.

How - fast days (5:2 diet style) and exercise. Weights programme and half hour running every day.

some half arsed mental maths tells me that if I lost only fat down to the same fat % as Shark then I'd be 3 stone lighter

I'd definitely be the best boulderer in the world

My sunday weigh in turned out to be a freak result and I immediately gained 0.9kg according to my inaccurate scales. I've managed to get rid of half of it.... I thought my diet was going to be finished in a couple of weeks, doesn't look that way.

I know it's a marathon, not a sprint I've kept to my 1700 calorie intake for the last 10 days.

How tall are you super-light folks (TT, Simon..)?
