Just a reminder...

We are not allowed to meet up to boulder together.

Bouldering in groups is a highly visible activity and there are plenty of responsible Eastern Edges users who do not value climbing activities and who carry cameras, who are understandably ready to expose people breaching current guidance.

If bouldering does get banned due to people doing it in groups, I will be very angry. This anger will be directed at those people who did it in groups. Let's not allow this to happen, eh?

*Edit*
If you are going to climb in groups,
definitely don't wear clothing that identifies which climbing wall you work at

Actually we are:

'You can exercise in a public outdoor place:

by yourself
with the people you live with
with your support bubble (if you are legally permitted to form one)
or, when on your own, with 1 person from another household'.

Appreciate your point about groups but let's not go beyond the rules.

I'm not interested in the rules.
I just want to stop everyone else from having a better time than me.

(Good point, JB)

I had assumed that the "exercising together" thing was for people who didn't feel safe exercising alone.

Goodness me, I'm a grumpy cunt.

Plantation about normal for a mid week afternoon this time of year. Plenty out, nowhere crowded, nice to bump into some other locals and no sign of the filth.

Yeah, should have typed "les flics" for the proper Font vibe

Largely covered in snow I expect, nearly got lost walking out of burbage south in a blizzard. Pepper Mill problems were dry, Pepper Mill Stem was ace, I can't understand why it hasn't received more attention. The arete was getting a dusting of snow when we left. Messiah Traverse was dry too, but didn't look at anything else, although I'd expect most stuff was snow covered given the amount about. Apparently burbage north was largely completely screwed too. Some drifting was occurring so with some shovelling it might be possible to tame some landings on a few things to replicate going out with more mates/pads during normal times.

If you search the forums there is an old thread with a few ideas of snow free stuff.

Certainly not 2013 style yet but potential to improve landings with some work is possible as the snow has hardened alot and is less sugar like now. Just having snow on the ground today was better once the pads bedded like having a few extra pads but mostly it is just making stuff unclimbable. For decent snowballing more wind is needed to move the snow over the edges, the direction is currently reasonably good but the speed isn't great and it is due to be mild from the weekend onwards so I don't think so. Last time it took a fair bit of wind to move the snow followed by a colder stable weather when stuff could be dug out and dry.
