elbow underextension?
December 24, 2011, 06:02:37 pm
so my left elbow doesnt quite straighten out all the way, not by much, but something like 5 degrees, so its noticably so... its not painful or anything and i dont think it hinders me in any way (my left arm is significantly stronger than my right though) but im just curious if anyone has any experience of it, and can it be fixed...?

My right does the same because I broke it when I was about 7. Unless you broke it or have some congenital reason why it won't go straight you should be able to sort it out with some stretching and / or consulting with a physio? I get font elbow in it really easily and need to stretch it a lot and avoid campussing etc.

My elbows don't go fully straight either, some people's just don't. It's sufficiently common that there's a special rule for it for bench pressing in powerlifting comps.
