Anyone thought of tapping some beta out of Martin Veale, the bloke who did the first ascent back in the day when we all had hair ..... Last time I bumped into him he was working at Foothills on Edgedale Rd. ..... He's really really nice and I'm sure he'd love to help ........ Or would that be too easy 
The first ascentionist doesn't have casting vote otherwise 99% of the ascents of Brad Pitt wouldn't count.
What counts is the way the problem is most commonly climbed. That's why it is vital the rot stops now.
