The only way I can get a new PB is to ignore the damn thing for several weeks then beat the hell out of it, first time back on I get a new PB, everytime.  I have no idea what that means except that training seems pointless in the way of the Powerball.  :-\

Sounds like my sex life, new personal best of 10907, after leaving it on the shelf for months in disgust at my weakness.

Bonus! Found my 'lost' original PB. It was under a chest, covered in dust.

Now I can...

1) compare a screamer and non-screamer
2) Use one in each hand! Hmm, could be tricky!

I've just been bought a neon blue (sadly without a counter so you'll just have to take my Si O'Connoresque claim of 30k on trust) and am currently working up a good pre bed pump( stop sn**gering Jones) anyway, anyone got any exercises for bi/triceps shoulders etc for PB?

Interesting to note that the highest score from a climber is only 42nd best, beaten by a bloody fisherman, http://www.powerballs.com/scoreboard.php?m=Scoreboards&div=mens.premier

Come on folks some one on here is surely able to top 15k

Had a quick go last night, it's not as hard as it sounds, reasonably easy to get both going then you can get some clever arm movements going, much more balanced than doing it one handed, certainly a good workout.

Glad this has been updated. Been training furiously for the last two months to beat my PB. Just hand me a new ball and that I'll rip that leader board a new arsehole!

I also picked my Power ball up for the the first time in ages as well, unfortunately nowhere near my PB.  My best before was 11291, though I haven't previously posted that here.  Today I just managed 10245.

And for 60 seconds, my best is 8504 right hand standing start,  just keeping it in the one hand throughout

Nice one Dave.  I picked my balls up for the first time in a while.  Had a bal in each hand spinning them round fantically.  Max left plus right = just over 22,000.  Have to get back into this.

I peaked too soon, I can't get the damn thing past about 8800 these days.  :'(

Plus, my hands seem to have shrunk and twice it's flown right out of my grip and across the room ???

Was it though?  Or did you get the 'ball up to speed with your left then go for it with your right (or indeed vice-versa)?

No, just idle curiosity from a weakling who's max is <11,000 and is keen to develop Powerball crushing

theres no way i can justify trawling through 40 odd pages of posts to find out what this is all about. i have a powerball (gifted to me last christmas IIRC) but after some initial fun i decided it wasnt the greatest - am i wrong? is it considered worthwhile from a climbing point of view or is it just a competitive thing? any enlightenment much appreciated (im secretly scared ive been missing out).

cheers

12623 is my best with right hand.

my top tip is a good hangboard session to warm up, then crush the powerball. powerballing from cold is a no-no for me at least - i'm knackered/bored by the time i'm hitting 12k.

somewhere around 11.5k with L hand (bought another one to try and sort my weak left wrist after the old one broke).

I've had confilicting info from various people about the merits of using powerballs to help with wrist injuries. some say yes some no. it worked for me last year so i'm confident. after my last powerball broke my wrist started getting worse again  :(

I believe the deal is slow and gentle revolution of the wrist for recovery.  Anything more is stupid.  You'll be looking at improving range-of-movement if your even holding a powerball post-injury.

I haven't shaken mine seriously in half a year, amazing how much grip is lost in that time.  I'm back into my skipping so I hope to improve soon.
