Worry not Scouse,  you've all the time in the world to give them a knockout video.

"Get in". Genius. Show those powerballing losers that someone with no specific training just crushed them all...

actually fuck that - if scouse uses my ball it means my high score will be wiped. scouse, buy a fucking new ball.

Yep. Never screw with another mans powerball... there tends to be swearing and not a little crying involved when you beat their previous best.  ;D

i must admit scouse it doesn't look like 15k on that video, seems too quiet and wick compared to that greek geezer. Lets see if i can put 22k on your ball tomorrow.

I was expecting more noise.  Nothing a whizz on a new ball shouldn't cure.  Scouses' p/b sounded worn.  Is it old, seen much action?

Ooh, the doubters are out.  Do a run on a different ball and let us know.
I'm easily hitting 12,000 every time but I can't get past 12,500 again  :'(

The difference between a new and worn ball is vast.  I've noticed this myself between Nodders' old one and my new (now worn one)

Let's wait and see.  A brand new one will do your score the world of good.

Going to Dave's tmw to try his ball out. Emailed powerball.com to see if they're convinced. Gutted if they turn it down cos it 'wasn't noisy enough'. I'm convinced i'm a beast.

Dear Mr. D,
We at PowerBall found your gurn most agreeable and were vastly impressed by your evident dedication to the five knuckle shuffle.
Unfortunately, as your ball was below 58.87684dB we are unable to accept your score.
If you still wish to be included in the PowerBall top 100 (with Akis sat just above you) please send video evidence using a new PowerBall, preferably with some The Smiths in the background.  We get lonely at PowerBall HQ, so videos of men putting effort into their balls always produce a result.
Please supply the video, and once we sort out the mess at our ends we will put you under Akis on the table.

Good luck Scouse.

lucky for scouse, Mrs "oh how does this thing work?" Dave had just accidentally (i.e. it was her fault) wiped the top score off my ball, so at least we've got a clean sheet to work with.

There are comments coming through like - 'sounds like a 10000 to me' or 'that ain't much over 12k'. Amazing!
Really hoping that I do well on Dave's ball, would love to prove the doubters wrong.

The comments made about the vid are sound enough, I'd expect Scouse to be shaking his teeth out on such a high run.  The sound too, it was tame compared to the other hi-score vids I've seen.

But let's not be put off.  2000 revs is nothing, nothing!

Scouse, are you squeezing the shit out of the ball as you spin it?  Some seem to rate squeezing as hard as they can - others just enough to keep it there as they spin.

Fuckin' hurry up postie.  Has Jim got his yet?

I just reviewed the video here guys and the actual score is something around 10k.

We're going to send a new counter off to Dave and we'll look forward to the new set of scores.

The dream might be over!
Just recieved this email from the nice people at powerballs.com
Starting to lose psyche, need to try another ball soon!
Good morning Dave,

Thank you for your submission.

Unfortunately in this case the scores reported would appear to be a result of a counter error.

I reviewed the video evidence and have run the audio through an analyser program we use here to verify scores and the score achieved is being reported at just over 10,000rpm.

The counters can occasionally report an erroneous score though this generally occurs in perhaps one in 1000 runs though in your case the error is indicative of a fault with the counter unit which will need to be replaced. I would appreciate if you could please send a quick email through to repairs@powerballs.com and please let Philip who heads our repairs team know that I asked that you receive a new counter.

(To give you an indication of the level of effort required for those 15-16k scores, please have a quick look at some of the Top videos from Akis or Jeremy on our scoreboard).

Please don't forget to include your preferred delivery address Dave and we'll make sure one goes out to you immediately.

With kind regards

Enda

Don't lose faith. Just get yourself over to Dave's and crush his powerball. Try to get some video evidence too... I really hope that your counter isn't wrong and that you can maintain total composure whilst getting nearly 16k.

This seems such a dubious method of verifying scores.  As I've written on youtube there are far too many variables that can't be controlled such as the acoustics of the room, quality of microphone, codecs used and so forth.

The visual effort put in is probably a better reference in this case, but most beneficial would be independent replication on a variety of hardware.  Good luck this evening.

Got my own powerball delivered yesterday (at last!) and have a long way to go in the ukb powerball league.  Currently at a lowly 8577  :(

What happened to your ball Unc'?    I'd say this is a pastime for those with some forearms.

(I know this plasterer in 'beris.  His grip is ferocious: all he does is grip his float and hawk, day in day out.  I gotta get him in.)

Scouse obviously is better than 10K, which is childs' play.  Check the ladies scoreboard:

39 10915 Alexandra ORY (FR) 22/04/2006 Natation, Tennis
40 10885 Birgitte Søberg (NO) 24/07/2006 Handball

41 10872 Faye Booth (GB) 07/03/2007 Motorcycling & Mountain Biking
42 10870 Katie Gee (GB) 23/01/2006

See what I mean.

What about Irish Alan, Mr Starfish?
