Kylie still looks impressed though.

It looks like Kylie is gazing lustfully at your wedding ring.... I've seen that look before on a woman. They can be very competative.

anyone any idea the best way fo holding the powerball? i've been trying to get the most secure grip by burrying it into my palm, the problem being it means that the counter really sticks into a bone at the base of my middle finger (hurts) and also cos i've got quite big hands its hard to keep my finger and/or thumb tips from touching the rotor thing. question?

word, that doesn't look too secure. i think it would slip out of my hand with that grip. but i'll try it anyway.

anway, am just trying similar to what i was doing before but holding it a tad further away from the palm. seems OK.  10293

But I never take anti-inflammatories!

(Sorry - I'm dragging my feet on the upgrade, end of next week?)

By the by, for everyone that isn't Irish Alan, warm up before trying to beat your PB.  When going for a PB change hands while your main hand rests briefly (7 or 8 seconds) then swap back - handing what should be a fast spinning ball to your dominant hand -  & go for it again.  You may need to do this a number of times before cracking it.  To save losing crucial rev's during hand-swapping you can grip the ball in your non-dom't hand with the innerball facing your palm and still get it going fast enough to hand back (if the ball slows by rubbing palm you can use just your tips, if your grip is good enough).  This is how you get to the bigger rev's, the mean speed should increase with each swap.

Obviously time will tell but having just watched that vid and going on sound emitted alone I'd say I've exceeded 13K.  And then some.

My current ball limps a bit:  I dropped it on a hard surface while on a PB attempt and it knocks a bit now.  Ordered new tonite.

Upset my mate at work the other week by putting 12995 on his.  ;)

Just been to pub with Irish Alan. He was quickly replaced by Drunken Irish Alan (different person) and bar staff refused to serve him - at which point he became Drunken Twat Writ Large. Apologies to all present; esp barstaff. Got nowhere on engaging him in powerball/ukB antics. Will try again tomorrow.
