Last night at Rubicon was nice. All the 3 tiers were dry although the low level traverse footholds had dusty mud on them. A little muddy underneath but damp rather than soaking wet.

Kudos wall fully dry.

Semi flooded under Caviar although Tribes & Dangerous Brotheers looked OK.

I can't see any of the holds being overly prone to seepage, they're not exactly slots or anything.

Mates went last night and said everything was soaked and seeping. And wet at Raven Tor, even under the roof apparently.

i would hope that with a bit of sun today that rubicon would dry up at least - it doesn't really take much seepage as such, its more just surface run-off from above.

If the tor was wet from condesing mist rather than seepage (which sounds to be at least partially true if it was wet all over) then that could well dry out today with a bit of breeze.

Anyone know the state of play? Obviously it's rained constantly in Sheffield for the past two days but now the sun is shining and the Met Office say it'll stay that way. Dave's optimism last week was spot on as I went on Friday and despite shocking weather most of the week all the bouldering was bone dry. I'll probably go and have a look anyway (as I really don't fancy sweating my skin to pieces in The Works) but any info would be appreciated.

I predict i'll be perfectly dry tonight, if a little warm. I may go there.

back end of last week the ground under the 3 traverses was damp mud but wasn't soaking into mats etc.

Let's hope you are correct again.

There was a decent sized puddle last Friday affecting the left hand side of the traverse but not the three tier bit.

I don't get it. Is this supposed to be a joke?  I can never tell with your understated delivery.

I don't think it was sarcasm dave.  It's obviously just a spate of people pretending to be crags.  Hence Lovejoy's similar jaunt into psychosis in his Jet Pack thread:

Anyone done this recently? It has gained a large extra hold since the FA and I must be a fair bit easier

Can I be Windgather? Cos I'm a lot easier than Jon.

All the bouldering was bone dry yesterday pm. It was very warm but conditions were still pretty good and I'm sure they will have improved later on. The puddle under Rubicon had not grown so the 3 tier traverses were fine.
