I'm afraid I must contest this point. Not that good!

I don't get the hype at all. She was on Radio 1 the other day and her voice is like a very poor, weak imitation of Sarah Cracknell's. Plus that "Remedy" song is the sort of vapid Europop that if done by Cascada (or perhaps The Venga Boys) would be ignored or ridiculed by the same smug cunts in the music press who are lauding her as the next big thing. It all seems a bit emperor's new clothes to me especially when there is a lot of genuine female musical talent about at the moment (Florence, Ladyhawke, Bat For Lashes etc).

Seems a nice enough girl though.

Can't remember if I've said this before (possibly on this very thread), but I've never understood why people rave about AC/DC. Just a load of boogie woogie bad metal bollocks. The lyrics are quite funny in an unintentional way though. If you want something powerful there are a hundred bands who would leave AC/DC standing in the blocks.

And then there is Queen - a ridiculous pantomime version of Led Zep who were already quite pantomime anyway.

And last but not least: The Pet Shop Boys - just a weak ersatz version of a truly great band: New Order. Why they are taken seriously at all is beyond me.

Offspring - I once had the misfortune of seeing these goons live. I'd gone to see the support band Quicksand who were brilliant, but were sadly ignored the crowd who stayed in the bar until the 'main attraction' came on. If I hear one of their songs on the radio I wince. Terrible.

Loads of rubbish landfill indie bands at the moment (Drums/frankie and the heart strings/the vaccines) that are sorely tempting me to turn off 6 Music.

I could go on, but I feel better already getting that lot off my chest.
