uuuuum. Surely someone who can climb 8a will generally know a lot more than that about training/muscle groups etc.

Do we reckon this list is close to the 200 mark yet? Over on the other channel someone was saying they didn't think 'that' many people had done this feat. Obviously wrong but 4 years on from list, do you think we are closer to 200?

Yep, but I reckon 3 8a's are needed to truely claim the grade.

Well, here's a few to add to the list from north of the border:

Will Atkinson
Mark McQuaid
Niall McNair
Alan Cassidy
Ben Litster
Stewart Brown

Possibly Sam Clarke?

I think at last count it was pretty much dead on 100-ish.

It's interesting to note some of the names mentioned as possibles, and what they have gone on to do (Variant is one I noted)

If the three ticks or you're out rule is applied I think the numbers may take a hit...

Tim Palmer and Gary Vincent (semi-mentioned earlier) have done more than three each. I've only done two in the forest, so I don't qualify

Surely two in the forest are worth more than three or more at plenty of other places.

Isn't the saying "2 in the Forest are worth 3 in the Wood" ?

In the UK, somewhere between 50 and 100. (it was more than 50 when I wrote that 'State of the art' article for OTE in about 2001 I think)

in N Wales;

CJD
Katz
Nodder
Neil Dyer
Sam Cattell
Danny Cattell
Chris Doyle
Paul Higginson
Adam Hocking
Paul Houghoughi

and possibly Pete Robins - can't remember if he has actually done Duel.

and, of course, you.

A bakers dozen.

And the biggest improver from Wales prize goes to.........

Mr Peter Robbins
