yeah, that's basically what I was referring to. However for me my mounting is such that I am not performing the movement directly under the hang point of the straps, rather it is attached to the top of a closed door which my feet are bracing on. This makes I's awkward to do so I avoid them.

That's my problem too. If I had better mounting options, I expect I could get the intensity right. But my options are either from a door or from the top of my board but space is limited around the board.

Screw Eye into a rafter? will make a hole in the plasterboard ceiling, but that can easily be cleaned up, filled with Polyfilla and painted over.

I've go some hooks in the rafters in the garage roof, which are meant to be for bikes, but I use them to hang off, they slowly uncurl over time, so not ideal.

I've got the Lidl knock-off TRX. Can be mounted in any closed door which doesn't leave any marks or it has a carabiner for mounting to any beam etc.
