M- Light cardio
T-Climb routes with wife at wall.  Fun easing back into it.  Up to 7b..., light weights session.
W-Cardio and light weights
T-Moonboard session.  Felt goood to climb again, felt creaky but OK.  Up to 7A+ of the classic sandbags, up to 7C+ of some newer softly graded stuff.
F- Supposed to lift, but wall closed to set for comp.
S- When down to wall to lift right as comp was starting and got convinced to engage in boulder comp.  Finished qualifiers in first, then finals ran too late and I had to leave for date night before the MEN s finals sarted.  They allowed my to try mens's 1 which I did in three goes and no one else finished. I haven't tried #2, but I guess everyone got to the same spot, so I likely would have won.
  OLD MAN POWER :strongbench:
S-Soccer - first involved loads of running around like headless chickens, but got to half 2-2.  Second half we got our heads on and finished 8-3.

Overall a fun week, but fun got in the way of my training  :furious: :chair:

Now I need to get back on track for lifting/training.

In a weeks time I'll be in Swizzy!

Mon: Hangboard - 3/3/3 as per Maisch.
Tues: Can't remember. Oops.
Wed: Max hangs and bouldering.
Thurs: Trail run in 29 degrees C. Quite unpleasant.
Fri: AM Hangboard - F3 and B3 max hangs on the small rung of the BM2K. Up to 22kg half crimped. PM half crimped one arm max hangs + 5kgs.
Sat: Bouldering. 30 degrees C. Some low sevens.
Sun: Bouldering. Some low sevens and a 7C nemesis. YYFY.

Solid week. Switzerland beckons. Will anyone be around between the 14th and 18th of Dec?

That's all very well but how were the Portuguese tarts?

From Roses the Bakers. Highly recommended. Not featured on their site but gorgeous. A custard tart in what seemed like filo pastry.

I think they are officially a two bite treat, which makes them pretty suitable for the calorie-conscious athlete

as long as you only have one, of course

You had two. But bought the coffee too. So that's alright.

Another tiring week.

Too much driving in dark/poor weather conditions combined with not enough sleep meant my week looked like this
M
T
W
T
F
S: wall session with campus. Definitely worse now for the lay off, but not too much worse than previous Saturday session
S

That's it, should be a tad quieter driving wise, so should have a better week this week

STG: 7B. More grit sessions. Find some time to get out anywhere.
MTG: Don't get broken.

Mon: Quick 4x4s session at TCA.
Tue: Max hangs (10s, 16mm +23kg). Got a split tip.
Wed: TCA, Woody, short power problems. Another two splits :(
Thu: Swim
Fri: Quick evening session on the hard circuit at TCA.
Sat: 5km run
Sun: Nowt, tips needed recovery time. DIY.

Pretty standard week; quite pleased with fitting sessions in and and with how I'm climbing though, given that work and sorting out house are taking up most of my time. Very short sessions might actually be helping.

M - Rest
T - Finally got a damn job! at long last permanently Sheffield based  ;D
W - Indoor bouldering - gave up after 1/2 hour due to hand twinges
T - Rest
F - Moved rest of stuff into new place
S - Setting up new house
S - Bouldering @ Burbage up to f6C

Yesterday I did my first f7A  :) but that's really for next weeks report. Don't think I've been trying hard enough bouldering before, as I've gone from f6B to f7A in just over a week...
