For those who can't be arsed with torrenting them from somewhere like The Mixing Bowl you can grab All Essential Mixes on Soundcloud.

Some absolutely brilliant sets from over the years, old David Holmes techno, Chemical Brothers first outing under that name (after having to change from Dust Brothers to avoid conflict with the US duo), Howie B, Andy C set is brilliant, more recently Gui Borratto.

Was a bit hasty with that last recommendation, you can't actually download them from Soundcloud, although you can listen to all the back catalogue.

Just came across Allez Allez that has a fair old mix of sets for free download.

Apologies if it's already been mentioned.

Just found this so thought I'd share - if anyone remembers the days of the "One In The Jungle" Radio 1 shows back in the mid to late 90s, here's a site that's got an archive of the programmes complete with clickable download links for a good few of them:

http://www.oneinthejungle.com/

Really happy to have found it, it really takes me back - the only bad thing is the point at which you realise that they were over 15 years ago!

Anyone got any Dubstep CD recommendations?? I like stuff that's got deep bass and a mixture of musical/atmospheric stuff and wibbly wobbly dancefloor stuff.

CDs I've liked so far:

Skream - Rinse 02
Skream - Watch The Ride (like this for dancefloor stuff)
Kryptic Minds - One Of Us
Kryptic Minds - Can't Sleep (like this for chilled out stuff)

I don't like abstract / super minimal / loads of vocally stuff. I don;t like Kode9 and I don't like that CD andi linked above, if that helps?

Neither Kode9 or that CD are really dubstep, which is probably why you don't like them. How about some Skull Disco stuff? Soundboy's gravestone gets desecrated by vandals, fabric 55, Mordant Music's Picking O'er the Bones... That should get you started.

Soundboy's gravestone gets desecrated by vandals,
Bit too minimal for me, although I like the Appleblim bits.

fabric 55
56 you mean, 55 is Marky ;). Not dubsteppy enough for me.

Quote
Mordant Music's Picking O'er the Bones
Bit too minimal again. I think I'm into more traditional dubstep.

Quite like this although some of it is a bit bland....

No, Fabric 55. Not Fabriclive 55. I had an idea before but I forgot, sorry. Will try and remember. In the meantime, try Box of Dub (old but amazing).

Nice graphic, but what a load of shit. Europe's contribution starts in 1970 with synth pop?

Trent Reznor has stuck a version of "Closure" a 1997 VHS box-set in DVD format up on Pirate Bay, follow the links (i.e. DVD) from here.

Only just found this forum but thought this thread would be a good place for it. A sick little set from Bonobo at the Boiler Room from earlier this week. http://boilerroom.tv/bonobo-50-min-mix/ Cracking voice on the guy at the beginning.
Imagine most people will have heard of Bonobo after his latest Black Sands album got very popular very quick but if you haven't he's incredible and definitely worth having a look at.
Another podcast from him with the Solid Steel guys http://soundcloud.com/bonobo/solid-steel. Also incredible and both available for download.
