Diagnosis and treatment for finger injuries
November 19, 2013, 09:04:42 am
I'm basically looking for advice/resource on the diagnosis of severity and treatment/rehab of climbing related finger injuries - I've never had one before so I'm at a bit of a loss - new to this site so not sure how this works, any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Finger injuries can be quite complex and the treatment can vary significantly. There are websites with information available, but they are no substitute for seeing someone that specialises in finger problems. If you are unsure what you have, I would suggest you consult somebody. Good luck, and welcome to UKB.

Post here.

Then whilst waiting for an answer use the search, there are literally hundreds of threads about finger injuries.  Read through them to work out what fits with your problem.

Ultimately you're best bet will not be Dr Net, but to go and see a physiotherapist.  There are lots of threads on recommended physiotherapists in different UK locations on the forum too, searching should reveal them.

Hope it heals soon.
