Agnes Obel - Philharmonics

Wadded. This album is absolutely top.

In case you are interested, other artists worth checking out on this vein (folky female singer/songwriters). Although i'm sure you have some across many (all) of them before.

Cat Power
Laura Marling
Lisa Hannigan
Feist
Joanna Newsom

I'm in love with them all!  :-[

I never thought I'd get into 2011 wondering what were my favourite albums of 2010, especially having to wonder what I'd listened to in 2010, but it was a quiet year for new music, most of it being consumed with work and changing work and all that. And the fact that about 90% of my listening is proper funk, 0.5% is Through the Windowpane, by Guillemots, and the rest is Hip Hop and Deep House and RA podcasts off itunes.

So for new albums in 2010, the one that knocked my spots off was 'Fly Yellow Moon' by Fyfe Dangerfield, he being the man behind my beloved Guillemots....

Love it.
