Good stuff. Saw him working this when I was getting scared on the E3 to the right of it (Nick later informed me that the bolts on the E3 "don't go in very far" and "someone came off the top, we were amazed the bolts held"). There was mutterings about English 7b at the time which looked quite believable - there's nae grips in the middle bit! A good effort, Nesscliffe keeps on giving...

Yup, UKC dropped a bombshell when they said that:

you have to pull hard with the fingers and push hard with the feet

   This is obviously why I haven't climbed E9 yet. Glad I know what to do now.
