Somalia has 95% unemployment but no benefits culture whatsoever. It's a remarkably successful system when you think about it.

Fucking A Liz. Thats what Anarchy and no governance at all gives you. Survival of the fittest. You're as fucking nuts as some of those tea party cock suckers. Great system, where the tribal cheifs kill you for accepting food aid, sorry 'infedel food'

What's your problem? Our salt of the earth coppers and great British justice system ensure that only the guilty are ever convicted. String em up!

.........oh, hang on a minute.

I thought our salt of the earth coppers have long believed in cutting out the middle man?

Did you know this?

Australia supplies about 50% of the world's legally-grown opium used to make morphine and other painkillers.

Yep, Tasmania is the place for opium poppies. I remember being amazed at the expanses of them when I first went on holiday to Tassie back in the '70s.

Compare and contrast.

No police action as yet, it would appear after making threats.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2011/aug/02/dragons-den-blackmail-threats-twitter

Immediate police action after making joke.

I can't see Duncan being a violent man. You rise to the top of the Glasgow ice cream trade by using charm and good business sense not breaking people's arms.

Interesting though. Was it actually illegal?
If the intended target was outside the UK, then surely he hasn't commited a crime in the UK?
I suspect, no, I know; if someone threatened my daughter...
Well, lets just say I would have done more than make threats, in return.

Funny really,
When I was a student, like every other student/teen I knew; my music collection was on tape and not a single original amongst it.
You could buy blank tapes and dual deck player/recorders, designed for copying tapes.
No-one ever raised any issues about copyright, no-one was ever banged up for having a ripped off record collection.
No-one complained that we were destroying the record industry...

Very true. Mix tapes, stuff recorded off the radio, whole albums. Everyone did it and as you say, nobody cared.

I believe its legal to make a copy of any copyrighted material such as CDs and DVDs for "back-up purposes".  Not sure whether it actually is prescriptive as to the format, but the font of all disinformation does not say that its illegal to make copies for yourself, only to pass on/sell copies/broadcast without permission/etc.

How come the ratings agencies seem to be able to hold the whole world to ransom when the AAA rating is basically worth fuck all?
