Last night I was travelling to a climbing destination in India in my van, accompanied by a friend who was a hybrid of several people I know.

Upon reaching the crossroads between the climbing destination (unknown) and a city where we had planned to buy food, we discovered the remaining 10km of road had been replaced with a very German split bike/pedestrian pathway meaning you now had to walk 20km round trip to reach the city. One of my old scout leaders was standing on a large stone directing the flow of foot traffic as many hundreds of locals made the commute on foot or by bike.

Later I was having a conversation with Tom Randall and had the sudden realisation that moral behaviour is a choice and you can just do what you want. I told Tom this and he winked at me and whispered ‘don’t tell anyone’ before swinging away on a Bachar ladder made from lattice rungs.

Later I discovered that it was possible to use a small parachute to half walk, half fly in an entertaining fashion. It was at this point that I realised it was a lucid dream (I always fly in lucid dreams) but then got distracted by trees.

Just another Tuesday I suppose.

Very vivid dream last night - I was watching a blackbird trying to eat a song thrush. The blackbird was clearly not very sure what it was doing and was standing on top of the thrush pinning each wing down with a foot and pecking at the thrush's neck and back. The thrush got away and flew weakly to another low branch where the blackbird caught up with it and pecked more vigorously, still failing to get any flesh in its beak.
I was trying to work out why the blackbird had got so hungry that it would try to eat a song thrush.
The trees were low and twisted, like the oak trees below Sentinel at Bbg N, but the leaves were more like beech. Maybe apple trees? Not much moss around.
The song thrush behaved like a young bird not yet used to escaping predators. The blackbird seemed motivated by hunger - doing one or two hard pecks in between looking around.
Colours were all normal.

I had a weird experience the other day while idly browsing social media, probably threads. I clicked on the inane question 'what are the benefits of being bald', and there was our own lagerstarfish extolling the virtues of feeling the warm sun on his bonce, from any angle.

So imagine my surprise when I walked into a room the other night and there was lagers sat on a sofa with what can only be described as a fine head of hair, somewhere between Reinhold Messner and that time Bob Mortimer impersonated Matthew Kelly. He turned to look at me and said 'oh hi Adam' as if nothing at all was untoward, and I was so confused I woke up.

I occasionally have very vivid dreams about having a full head of hair including the utterly convincing tactile sensation of running my fingers through my long hair. I have to check when I wake up.
I've been bald for 30 years.

Dreamt last night I was in England for some reason and went to visit a bouldering centre. First of all for some reason my Solutions had got wet and stretched ridiculously and were smooth and slippery. Then when I went into the centre to climb, they had redecorated the entire walls and floors to look like the bedrooms you get in museums and stately homes, and only left one vertical wall covered with massive holds that lit up so it was supposed to look like stars shining in the window. Everyone was walking around saying how cool the idea was and all the effort for one night, and I was raging because I wanted to do some decent climbing.
