I'm game and would particularly like to avoid camping where possible. Presumably there are some decent bunkhouses in the vicinity?

Aye that would be grand cheers. I can't get a good nights sleep in a tent if i'm climbing the next day (plus I have a fear of being buttplugged in the night by unscrupulous sorts  :-*)

No bother mate. I wouldn't worry about the unscrupulous types, Keswick's a lovely place!

I haven't lived there for a while though, so things could have changed...............

There's a bunkhouse in Rosthwaite, GR259150 - you pass it on the path down from Watendlath. It is called Dinah Hoggus and the contact number is 017687 72645. Camping there too. See also: http://www.lakelandcampingbarns.co.uk/

It is called Dinah Hoggus

Is that Rosthwaite Gwynedd?

Hope the weather perks up, otherwise I'll have drowned in either the ever rising water level or a pool of my own sweat.  >:(

Well I scoped out the camping barns today, and both the one at St.Bees and down Borrowdale as mentioned by TC are booked. So I'm afraid camping may be the only option, sorry Monolith  :(

I'm busy tomorrow but will check out price etc on Friday.

Nice to hear your keen Jim! Should be good, I can feel a joint ascent of Picnic Sitter coming on!!

There is one other place hat may be available, I'd have to check though. Seems a bit pricey compared to other places, but it is close to town i.e. staggering distance from "The Loft"............

Fifteen pounds and fifty pence a night including breakfast is not bad. Get it sorted la!

There is a slight possibility I'll make it up for the Sunday session... :-\

Bob on. Aint used them much but have been good so far. I think that La Sportiva's are somehow secretly moulded from my exact feet, maybe when I'm asleep.... They fit so well!!!!

Managed to secure some more interest in this trip. Any chance of it being a joint bouldering/eating competition meet seen as there so often seems to be references as to who is the daddy of mass consumption?

Right then, I have spoken to the hostel I lined to earlier:

http://www.vividevents.co.uk/

And they only had 6 beds left, so I guess its first come first served with that one.

However, the weather does look a bit gash.

Fingers crossed  :(
