The main place that climbers stay is the Climbing Refugio called "La Garganta". Run by a friendly guy named Enrique, the refugio is located in the centre of the village of El Chorro, less than 2 minutes walk from the train station, and within easy walking distance of the majority of the climbing areas. For those wanting a little more comfort and tranquillity the Finca la Campana is a popular choice. This climbing refugio is located approximately 20 minutes walk from the village of El Chorro. For further information telephone (0034) 626 963 942 or visit their site (link above). There is a campsite in the village of El Chorro. This is ideally situated in a lovely wooded area between the village centre and the gorge. Decent facilities mean that it's relatively expensive. For those wanting to indulge in some real luxury, there are a number of apartments available for rent in El Chorro as well as a fairly large hotel in the village. For further information on renting the cottages call Susan or Dell, on tel (0034) 952 119 872, or e-mail at sumitch@teleline.es
