Tried this the other day though the slot was a bit damp its not much excuse for the distance i was still short of.

Is it a dyno or is there a trick?

Its a dyno. Although my very hazy memory tells me that you have one hand on a slopey seam and one hand on a small undercut. Undecut might be the beta you're after if you're not using it?
