I thought I should post this as a news item for the few forum members that weren't at the plantation on saturday  :wink:

John's ascent, like all the others up to date came after toproping the problem and the ascent itself came with the minimum of fuss.  John's is the fifth :?:  ascent to date.

Several well known peak photographers were on the scene (including one who was also attempting CT, but ground up  :shock: ) so I'm sure there will be lots of pics kicking around soon enough.

As for amount of attempts, I can't really comment as I wasn't watching the whole thing, there are others far better placed to comment.

Yep, i know of one other challenger for the ground up title, is there more than that?

I'm trying for the ground up, saly I've never got further than the start of NTBTA or Crescent Arete.
