Sonar 2005

Perhaps the best music festival of the summer.  Fuck all this galstonbury shit, get yourself to spain for some real action.  Check it out at: www.sonar.es

Just look at the line up, and then ask yourself why you wouldn't go.  Only 108 euros for the best dj's in the world.  I can not wait!

...Might not be everyone's cup of tea.

..though I must admit, although I'm sure a lot of it will be awful, I am intrigued.

having been 4 times, consider this... you don't skank out in a tent, it's in barcelona hom e to the world's most attractive women, god now you've got me thinking! i remember 5 am in a massive warehouse richie hawtin playing the best music you've ever heard, a few jeff mills in, beautiful spanish girls snorting coke off their credit cards.... holy shit. by far the best festival ever. (especially if you don't like fucking crusties!)

I agree wholeheartedly - I've been twice with the wife & stayed in a swanky hotel off La Rambla, spunked loads of cash on really top meals and nice wine in posh resturaunts... lazed around in the sun all day watching great artists and some great films and stuff and generally ignored the stuff at night 'cos I'm too old to stand around around in a wharehouse.. I won't be going this year tho'

you can listen to festival highlights from 2003 and 2004.  They are available on the torrent network.  If you've not already got a ticket, then perhaps after listening to several hours of intense beats you'll book it!

just do a search for sonar on a search engine.

Is anyone actually going this year? I'm seriously considering it, as I've just checked out the line-ups and it's a week after my exams finish - do you think it'll be possible to sort accommodation at this late stage?

word, when i went last time we didn't book anything stayed at some total grim place for a night, then spent the next morning trying to find somewhere. trawl the web and find somewhere. if you gett somewhere off la rambla it'll be way cheaper. i'd be psyched but... I'll be in south africa. oh and pastilas is spanish for jeff mills, if you catch my drift
