I have a pair of Mad Rock Velcros that i bought in the US last year. They are the velcros WITHOUT the dual density rubber (which seems like a bad idea) so either the Mugen or the Flash and I have had no worries with them;

Had a pair of those too - they didn't fit me great once they were worn in..

have had mine for ages and they still give me the odd blister every once in a while (on top of me toes - not nice)

on the other hand, i've had a few pairs of mugens (cost about 30 quid out here) and performance wise found them the dogs gonads (like an anasazi but with a heel that works) - they just wore out insanely fast though, don't think any of the pairs i owned lasted more than 2-3 months

5.10 seem to give baggy heel whilst the rest fit fine.

it's all in the mind.

i've got heels/ankles like butter knives and still hook with the best of them. its all about how you emply your heels. c'mon guys the boots can't do everything for you.

thats coming from john "never worn boots with a heel that actually fits" coefield.

you should try a boot with a proper heel some time. You might be surprised. yeah you think you can use your heel good now, but that's cos you've never known any different.

it's a bit like ok TVs. Everyone thought black adn white was hte bomb cos thats all they ever had. then they brough colour, and its opened up a new world.

Such negativity for the mad rock flava!

I was trying not to be too negative, as I thought it  was probably a fit issue. In truth, they were the second worst pair of shoes I've ever owned. My housemate also had a pair and agrees on how shite they are...

Ooooh, look at me  :roll:

I find when your boots wont' stay on your feet that heelhooking become a bit hurty on the grit. But obiously I should buy boots that don't fit properly and just shut up whining  :wink:

Nah-I always blame injury as you well know.
Zens are stiff, inprecise, ugly, badly made, uncomfortable bags of shit. The shittest boots I've ever owned, and i used to have a pair of Russia tzars.

You can hardly blame the boots for that. Especially considering that self-portrait avatar...

I'm hurt.

The Tzars did really fuckin stink though but they were ok for smearing. Unfortunately they were shit at everything else and at the time i was shit at everything-ergo the shoes were the reason for my shitness because they were shit

Am sporting 5.10 T-rocks at the mo, shit name and make you look like a sport climber (which I am on occasion) but a really very good boot, much like the pink lace ups but with a good heel. Also really rated the red chilli voodoos but I suspect they may be a bit narrow for many.
