Plumb DJs

Never heard of them.  Is this is a link to Uncles banned plum photos? :-\
[/quote]

No, I think they are Plumbers who are part time DJs. Trademark tagline " Oooh it's gonna cost ya".

Tuomas Rantanen:  Industrial strength techno from Finland.

Live @ Vuoltsu 26/10/06

Dark, percussive, fast and frightening.  Hmmmm...  It's not for girls, and if it is, you wouldn't want to meet them.

Some seriously good techno there Houdini - just my sort of thing and it will serve to get me through another day here doing nowt at work - as you say it is fast and frightening - makes me wanna :bounce:!! Deffo not for girls - they are far too sensitive for this!  ;D

Quote

Run to The Dark my pretties...

Gonna have to do some stretching as I am an old git these days but once that is out of the way then I will start.

BBrad.  I'm finding the live set from Vilnius on Rantanens' homepage much superior.  Every bit as repetitive but somehow less monotonous and with more interesting abstact elements (I'm hearing plenty of Surgeon undercurrents).  Bear with me, I've asked the man for more Finnish tips.

Enjoyed the AMT Soaps.  Feel free to deliver more Jap madness.

Now D/Ling the Vilnius set - anything that has Surgeon like elements to it has to be listened to and admired IMO - be interesting what else your man manages to come up with. Talking of Surgeon - you going to see the great man play Sheff next month?

Re: Japanese stuff - assume you already know about Melt Banana and the Mad Capsule Markets (think the second one is right) - both seriously excellent.

I'd never heard of them either until I nabbed them off r-man's housemate.

Possibly, but then Plumb DJs was what it was named as on Andy's computer. Does Plump Night Out exist?

Plumb Night out only exists when Plumber's Association has a night out.

When recommending music from illicit sources, always check original material.

The Spaniard Roberto Prieto (Electro/Techno) Home Studio Mix 28-9-06  (From Megaupload)

A neat, airy, somewhat minimal beginning that strengthens, and most aggreable as the aroma of omelette wafts into the technarium on this rainy, hail-blighted morning.

Will have a listen to the "omelette set" later once my raging hangover has subsided a bit - today is not the day for Finnish Techno I can tell you...  :(

whitehouse - wriggle like a fucking eel

Now, I'm not one to knock someone else's preferences...

But Soaps old boy, are you seriously trying to tell us that you use this kind of Tourette-thrash-trash aural assault for your listening pleasure? ???

I genuinely believe that I would have a much more enjoyable 4 minutes and 43 seconds if I were to spend that time stabbing myself in the leg with a broken bottle.

Does that make me uncultured?

Duma (and anyone else whom may like them) have you checked out this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Five-Men-Hut-Rarities-1998-2004/dp/samples/B000H9HX8G/ref=dp_tracks_all_1/203-9412189-8382360#disc_1

Gig on Saturday was superb btw.

Anyone checked out new DJ Yoda yet?

In process of exploring Flaming Lips' back cataloge, got "To death with the future head" for £3, well worth the money.

No, but would like to.  Do you know anything about it?  Label or name perchance?

I saw DJ Yoda in Stealth at Nottingham, was using them Pioneer VDJ's. Was proper good, I was highly drunk and merely stayed at the back "leaning back" or what ever it is your supposed to do!

There was a fair bit of that going on also....

A hot young lady came up and asked me if I would get her a drink, before I had chance to say anything she simply said "Can I have a glass of water mate, I cant be arsed to que and your nearer than me. Cheers mate"
