climbing gear
September 05, 2012, 11:04:49 am
Realised I am off to Yosemite to try a big wall with Alex Honnald, Hazel Findlay and Caff and I have vertigo so am climbing worse than ever and also my camera is shit. Decided I need to get a new one (as prob won't be doing that much of the leading - "just gonna go steady on this one, feeling a little dizzy... oh hello Alex, you're just soloing past me...") so selling some old climbing gear (hopefully more to come if I find any!)

Cams:

DMM 4cus 3.5, 2.5, 0.5 all nearly new 2.5 new   £15 each

Wires:

Wallnuts 10, 9 new  10 used
DMM alloy offsets 11 x 2, 10 x 2, 9 x 2, 8 x 3, 7 x 2  all new or nearly new
peanuts 5 x 2, 4 x 2 new/nearly new
Alloy micros 3/4, 1/2, 00 new
DMM HB offsets ('brass' micros) 6, 4, 1 new
metolius 'brass' micros 4,3,2,1 used

£4 per nut new/nearly new (£3 for used)

biners/slings etc

metloius nut key £3
2 X quickdraws £5 each
2 X biners £2
all above used
60cm nylon sling new £3
15 dynema quickdraw tapes new and couple used £3 new £2 used
3 nylon 10cm sport tapes new £3

other stuff

DMM helmet nearly new £15
Salewa Helium helmet used £8
Mammut Passion 10mm rope 50m brand new - bagged  £50
Patagonia jacket windproof shell, M, £10 used but not much
North Face Softshell 'Aphex'?? M, £8  used
DMM Flys, axe and hammer, used, no leashes but attachment point for clipper leash £20

free to include with 'big' orders

BD Camelot 4 - wires snapped but can be replaced
Metolius 3cu micro cams 0 and 00 well used!

pictures here:

http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r201/benbransby/for%20sale/

Most of the gear is in very good condition, as hopefully the photos will show. Any of the used gear (with exception of Camelot and 3cus) is still in good condition - I would have no qualms climbing with any of it.

If people want a big order can be flexible on price, obv if things are slow will move on price - not really sure what gear goes for second hand

buy a used 95, save yourself some weight and some $ (unless you particularly want to geo-tag El cap).

was gonna get used. Cofe told me to get the 100 not 95. said it was way better but he is well into twitter and shit like that so probably likes geo tagging.

Based in Hathersage, can post stuff but will have to include postage to price.

Off climbing (in a dizzy way, close to the ground) so apologies if I don't get back to any queries till after school finishes

Second the S95 recommendation, took one to Peru up a couple of peaks and its dead easy/quick to use (fast start-up for snapping pics and used with mittens on too).  The S95 will be cheaper second hand too precisely because the S100 supersedes it.  Geotaggint on El Cap is surely only going to change in height a bit.

I'll take one of each of the DMM alloy off-sets (11 throught to 7) and peenuts (5 and 4), the four 15cm dynemma quickdraw tapes and the 3.5 DMM 4CU please!

Happy to come and collect from Hathersage if you don't mind.

Cheers,

s100 has a wider angle lens, so the ground looks further away - maybe not such a good idea for someone with vertigo

however, it would be better for taking pictures of people sharing a ledge or hanging belay with you

Salewa Helium helmet used - how used is used?

If it's as undented as it looks in the pics then I'll gladly take it off your hands.

Based in S7 so can collect or meet nearby.

Cheers

Hey,
please could I have:

Dmm flys
alloy offset 7,8,9
wallnut sz 9
2 quickdraws
2 biners
chalk bag? (you have a pic of one, but no price. Both my waist bags have gone walkies, prob foundry fodder)
and I'll add a few quid for the fucked microcams if you like. They prob wouldn't hold me new anyway, so what's the difference?
and the size 4?
Msg me a total?
cheers,
sam
