Not really being a V8 climber, I managed to do it without a ridiculous amount of effort in the sun... So just wondering if the V8 grade prescribed by rockfax is a little off the mark

Did the fact that it was easier than the anchor give you any clues?

Well, that was when the idea first occurred to me...   To be fair I dont really climb V7 either so still trying to get my eye in on these sort of grades. Ok so V5/6 ish?

Which are you referring to?  The Anchor without the pockets, or the left arete thingy?

Ah, OK.  That's about 7a ish, depending on reach and leg length.  The Anchor without the pockets is much more interesting.  There may be some confusion from Rockfax?

Yeah, anchor without pockets is given 7b+ (from poor memory) but is deffinitely described seperately. Cheers

I suspect you are on the tall side and were able to reach the lip with your foot still locked in.

5 foot 9, but yeah I could reach the lip with a foot lock in, probably nails without
