Some king lines there...  especially that problem 1 minute in.  I bet you wish that one was on the Orme Doylo?

And what's with the snogging couple that keep appearing?

I'd have a traverse into that one quicksharp!

Seriously, lots of posts from the mostly-male UKB fraternity seem to want an answer to this ? and the vid made by this US missus isn't a bad starting point for opening discussions with your better half.

Lots more flights than just Ryanair (they only fly Stansted to Alghero): Jet2 Leeds, Edinburgh; EasyJet (Stansted, Bristol, Gatwick), Meridiana (Gatwick);

Lots of places to stay: this place is 45' from either Cala Gonone (which many of you will know, though, as Chris Gore says in his interview http://www.pietradiluna.com/blog/images/feedback/4cc/cgore.html, Cala Gonone is a bit crowded and not the best place for climbing in the summer) or nearby up in the mountains or the coast around Tortoĺ (where this US couple stayed): see http://www.turismo.ogliastra.it/English/.  BTW wild camping is about to be formally banned on the whole of Sardinia.

Insurance: I'm not sure necessary, they look after visitors pretty well in hospital here, and no charges for helicopters or anything like that. I used to get BMC insurance to go to the Alps, for a bouldering holiday it might be a bit OTT.

ciao Peter

Deary deary me...

If you want to convince anyone to go bouldering THAT is not the video to show. Font and many other venues piss all over that for natural beauty AND (and its a big AND) the bouldering is actually quite good at places like Font.

I'd rather spend a holiday on Pill Box Wall (no offence Doylo).

Well, it seems I should've posted the link on UKC. There's a post asking for exactly this.
ciao Peter

Yes I have to agree the videos of the bouldering aren't the best bit of the film. This is a pity, since both visiting UK and Italian as well as Sard climbers like the place and it'd be nice to have more visitors...
*There are good (much better) photos at http://www.bloccobirra.com/SERRAOSELI.HTML
*The problem 60" in is a traverse R to L, 11dx3, on the guide http://www.peteranne.it/serra_oseli_update_may_2010.pdf There are links here to videos I made when I was there alone and, even if I say it myself, they are better.

Someone on UKC said: "Far better would have been some shots of the granite in the north - now they *are* special." You see a few nice photos, eg http://www.pietradiluna.com/blog/ cover photo, but the area isn't popular enough to have any guides, either on the Sardinian bouldering site http://www.bloccobirra.com or on http://www.infoboulder.com/?mod=boulders&area=51 It seems that it actually offers much fewer problems than you would think at first sight, at least that's what one hears/reads. It's 4 hours' drive from where we live, I have only been bouldering there when we were at Santa Teresa di Gallura for a cycling race.

No, the best bits are the driving-through-yet-another-small-Sardinian-village. Classic!

I enjoyed the video, just a quick question though. is it a Tom Tom, or a Garmin sat nav at 1.37? seems to fit nicely on the windscreen :thumbsup:.
I would also consider going to the orme if they had some problems like the one 1 minute instead of that little cave thing ;D. I bet the route they show is also trickier than it looks  :-\ and you wouldn't have to take a ladder
