I'm actually blown away by the award, from the very start I had the faith that Jerry could tell the story but Grimer really brought it to life, Cofe and Ed Douglas put in the effort to complete the project. Result, a brilliant read, inspiring and entertaining, and thanks to the recognition of this award and the kind words of many readers the book can now go on to be a classic.
It's great to be part of something that follows in the great tradition of works like Stone Monkey, Hard Grit, and of course classic books from the likes of Bonatti and Joe Tasker. Jerry's is an important and essential story for all climbers to understand and be part of.
