Another Nadin Traverse- Doxey's Pool
December 14, 2008, 09:55:57 am
Anyone know of any repeats of this problem? Was it started from sitting?

I had a play on it last weekend. The friction was amazing and would need to be. I certainly feel inspired to dedicate some time to it- there are some good toe jams  which make progress a little less impossible.

There appears to be a possible reverse variant- taking in the start and crux of drowning pool, reversing the slopiest traverse and finishing up the arete. A quality piece of climbing if it gets done. Must be V10/11

No repeats as for as I am aware. Maybe Ru had a pay on it when he did his guide?

Tis a cracking problem. Put a couple of sessions on it last winter, and its amazing how, with good conditions, you can hang seemingly impossible near vertical slopers and still chalk up :o

Let me know if ya fancy a team effort, certainly worth repeating.

I'd be up for trying it - I've a penchant for sideways motion.  :)

I've been as far as reaching the drowning pool. Yeah, good problem, indeed.

If anyone's up that way, there's a  good problem up by Wild thing. Sit starts under the roof as far right as you fancy going and traverses left under the roof to fiinish up the arete around 7b-ish. The sitter to wild thing is also a good little font 6a.

What a girl, up there, all over that traverse, waiting for a bit of business. Tough times.
