Friday 17/10/08. Anyone out, Yorks/Peak way?
October 16, 2008, 02:19:09 pm
Since the forecast is shitting out for the NW, I think the St Bees visit will be shelved for now.

Anyone else heading out on Friday?

Caley would be cool, but will it be dry.

Other suggestions have been Satange or Almscliff......

Well I'm planning on being out but may have the boy in which case I'd probably avoid Caley as I don't remember it being especially child friendly. Almscliff works for me, as does the Peak. Bring on the debate...

I like the idea of the cliff, if just to warm up and do a brief circuit. Caley might be good later, though it's a westerly turning to a southerly and cloudy so a trip up whitestones could also be in order? Don't know about that evil sounding place though.....

I shall be arriving in Ilkley Friday teatime, so am intending to have a bit of a lantern session on the calf and in the quarry if anyone's interested.

How about meeting up at the Cliff?  Late morning should work for me, say 11 ish?

Meet at the cliff works for me also. I may have junior with me so would have been hesitant to go to Caley (I don't remember it been desperately child friendly) but if there's a team of forty it should be pretty safe...

Fuck it's like a UKC picnic.

That's not very long for a session.

What's the crack with dogs ar Almscliff? I had a look on the BMC site and it doesn't specifically mention you can't take dogs but just thought I'd check before loading up the beast.
I'm still aiming on 10:30 - 11:00 as I'll need to leave at 4:00-ish.
