hmm any you guys no cheapest / quickest way to font from charles de gaulle. Train? from a magic forest virgin

Train
CdG to Paris north (gare du nord) then change to gare de lyon, then up top onto main line to Melun and depending on which train you get you either go throught to font/avon or you need to change at melun.

This was what I remember.

I just rented a car in the airport. It takes about an hour to drive

if you're going to drive, it's actually pretty easy to navigate the peripherique. Do it a night though, it's way less busy and is pretty pleasant in that you get to see Paris at night.

it's pretty straight forward on the train, only costs 11 euro's I think, from what I remeber you get the train to gare du nord and then you can get a straight train to font.  I've done it a few times it ain't that bad, similar to getting across London, prob a couple of hours travelling time

When you get to the other end don't navigate using the 7's and 8's map. Ask a local for beta to Bas Cuvier if that's where your headed, seemed easiest big place to get to.

Mind you we were camping in the chos pile that is the bivi site north of Bas Cuvier, scary goats, wild boar and cottaging in those woods!
