It hath arrived.
August 14, 2005, 11:02:53 pm
I was leaving my humble homestead where I raise small chickens and half goat half frog like creatures, my journey was to work and along the path I took across i came an unusually large puddle. from it's centre arose the shimmering arm of a maiden, and there grasped between her delicate fingers was the swedish horse hair bouldering brush, of course thought I holding a hand of contemplation to my chin as i remembered back many days to a time when I had ordered said item on the internet. i reached out and took my prize and marveled at the ergonomicaly designed handle and the subtle sweeping curve made by the bristles at the centre of the brush, anyway long of the short of it is I'm off to the bowderstone tommorow and hopefully it will be as clean as a new whistle wrapped exactly upon the moment of its construction was completed, by the time I'm finished. sorry you had to read all the way through this for no reason.

The Lapis brush is a Slovenian invention.....

Don't go crediting the Swedes for it, Moo! My good friend Aliosja at Lapis will bite your nose off if you don't give credit where its due!

And 'tis the most bueno brush you can obtain too, oh yes. Pity they tend to wear out quick,  but this might just of been 'cos I couldn't stop brushing holds with mine when I got it! There are amazingly effective.

For an easier to get hold of alternative, wilkos do a great denture brush:

this isnt the exact one, but it is v. similar

pros: - large head with stiff bristles, great at cleaning
 - 75p
 - angled shaft to prevent skinning knuckles with over enthusiastic brushing (v. important)

cons:  - the chunky handle (prevents old people losing control) makes it hard to get into thin breaks
 - you will be the ridicule of the checkout staff.

there you go, a proper brush review!

ditto - the wooden brushes rock, and cost zip, and last forever - also all natural materials for all you wethno prana-wearers. furthermore i can't believe everyones getting excited about a brush enough to spend beans on one mail-order. wtf? Bearing in mind i would consider spending £1.50 or whatever on one of those shitty M16 brushes a total extravagance. whats up with a normal toothbrush, or like he says a denture brush or smokers toothbrush if you're feeling fruity? Are we so vain?

Right, I've been using these brushes for a few weeks now, just got back from magic wood and everyone who's used the lapis brushes are fully impressed. For cleaning chalky holds, these are better than anything you can get (plastic and wood just don't cut the mustard, wood maybe better for cleaning new problems/dirty holds) horse hair is the way forward. Only problem now is I've got to keep a close eye on me brushes as everyones after one
