I was at Malham the other day trying to work out where Victor Hugo goes. The guide describes this as the extention to Thriller that pushes left then up to a jug on the lip. Found this ok.

BUT, what are the line of bolts running slightly up to the right from the belay on Consenting????

This was chalked up and looked quite possible so I'm assuming its been done. As far as I know Idefix F8b extends Free and Easier or am I wrong???

Idefix traverses right from the belay of F&EE and then goes up diagonally right to join VH. You can climb direct from the belay of F&EE for a few moves on old bolts, but the holds soon run out. Lots of things were speculatively bolted back in't day (Overshadow, Magnetic Fields extension) but were never climbed. I don't know of anything coming out right from the belay of CA, did the bolts look new?

I got reigned in when I was there with my drill last year for breaing the access agreeement

The bolts are definately new - they've been in there for years. I did think it was VH before I found out it followed Thriller - so no advance on who/what those bolts belong to???
