Much as I like yellow, it's a shit colour for a bouldering mat - the last thing I want to be seeing is little yellow squares littered about the Burbage Valley as far as I can see in every direction....

Only reason I ask it that I don't have enough luggage allowance left to bring on back with me from LA   The mat itself is like $120/£66 here but the excess baggage fee would still be $100! So it would be cheaper to get a mat in UK, has anyone seen the new version of the moon small boulder mat? Looks quite cool!

Nah looked into that posting it FedEx or UPS would cost upwards of $120 per pad

I emailed Franklin and they can't ship it over to uk for me either I could try to get an online retailer here to ship it for me but then I would get hit with input duties!!

what about wearing all your clothes at once and cramming all the rest of your posetions into your pockets to increase your available luggage allowance.

nah it goes like this:
1. Extra bag pay $110
2. if Liner Size(H+W+L) > 62" pay extra $100
3. if Weight (H+W+L) > 70 pounds pay extra $100

quite nasty really.

They've got them in the V12 shop in Llanberis too.  Looks like a good, well made pad, as you'd expect from Franklin.

you could always try and pay someone on the flight to carry it for you 'a la drug runner' and bung them a tenner or sumfin!!!!! :8)
Assuming of course it dosen't send them over their weight limit!!!!

Don't bother. You can get them from Snow and Rock Online. But my mates got one and all it does is attract flies. So unless you like sharing your mat with about 50 million midges get a black one!!!!

How did your mate get on with the mat? I'm looking at getting a satelite or a small pod mat...
