Font question
May 27, 2009, 10:45:49 pm
Random question .... when I was last in Font, on the way back from Buthiers / Malesherbes we stopped off (2 mins?), trooped up a hill and had a look at an 8A under a roof - traversed out right (if it helps). The path on the way upto the bloc, had LED lights on the way (it was dark) - close to some holiday cottages / kids park - the path wound its way up a hill to a monument / folly?

Any ideas?

Was it a low roof on pockets?

Or a larger roof on cracks?

looks, in this case, are deceptive. this is one of the nicest looking problems i've seen in the flesh and certainly the only traverse i'm interested in doing ever. granted the sight of a bald man on a traverse full of ticks probably isn't showing the problem at its finest

Been like that for ages, at least as far as I can remember.

Its a long story, but I was after the name of the holiday place next to the boulders ("Base-de-Buthiers"). Doesn't everyone use boulder problems as their geographical point of reference?
