So I had an awesome weeks climbing in Sardinia last week, but woke up on the 3rd day with a painful shoulder (ish) - don't remember hurting it whilst climbing, and now a week on it still hurts/aches in various positions.
Just wondered what I've done in order to avoid aggravating it.
Symptoms:
Dull pain/stiffness at the front-side of the shoulder joint (i.e. arm joins the torso, not at the back...)
Occurs when I raise my arm straight upwards, if I drop my arm behind by head (for that stretch, you can tell I'm not technically minded), extend my arm straight out to my side and rotate backwards but not forwards, shaking deoderant cans.
I would look up specific threads about deltoids, rotor cuffs etc - but I've got no idea what these are
At the moment I'm (reluctantly) resting it, but not I.C.E-ing it, and apply tiger-balm, which doesn't seem to be doing much.
