If you care about the BMC and want to find out what the Directors have to say for themselves then there is an online Open Forum next Tuesday.

Registration details are here: https://thebmc.co.uk/open-forum-webinar-series

Looks like the finals of the Shanghai events will be live on YouTube for anyone who doesn't want to deal with the godawful Olympics site

My deepest condolences James. Losing a parent is a profound, disorienting experience. I'm glad you are still able to access the good memories and feelings.

shootin' the shit / Photo scanning in Sheffield

Unfortunately my dad passed away last week and we are now sorting everything out for his funeral in 2 weeks time.

We’re currently staying in Sheffield whilst our attic conversion is going on. So don't have access to our Laptop/Scanner which we left up there.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in Sheffield that could scan around 30 photos (varying sizes and ages) for us and upload onto a USB for use at the funeral? Ideally they could make them all a standard size too.

If they could also download photos from an XD card (not SD) that would be even better.

We are staying in Crookes, but can go wherever is needed in the city.

Also, thanks for the advice and messages in my thread about his health, and his ultimate cancer diagnosis. It’s been a weird few weeks and whilst it’s hugely sad and I’m totally gutted, my brain is just thinking of all the nice times we had together which has made it weirdly nice at the same time…
