The Smiths' cover of that Mark Ronson "Stop me" track is pretty dire
Celine Dion is responsible for the world's worst cover version, a poll of music experts has decided. The Canadian star's rendition of the AC/DC track You Shook Me All Night Long was given the dubious honour in the Total Guitar magazine survey.
I feel I should nominate this but seeing as the original is shit it's not quite in the spirit of the thread. However this........ .......fits the bill.Jamie Cullum is someone I would never tire of hitting with a brick.Charlie Brooker described him perfectly in this utterly brilliant article as an "oily, sickening worm-boy, presumably grown in a Petri dish specifically for appearances on middle-of-the-road chat shows" and a "gurning little maggot" with a "puggish face" etc. I concur.
Leave it to Joni? are you kidding that song is excruciating to here her whine not to mention her lyrics were so crap they needed altering to fit.
It's My Life (Talk Talk) by No Doubt
katie mellua is also shite - my mum insists on putting her CD on whenever we're in the car with them, fuck me is it tedius shit. none of her songs have any fucking tune or melodic interest. its like they were written to showcase her voice but they forgot the cardinal rule of music - i.e. that its got to be musical. shit i've heard silence that had more of a tune.
