website is shit, you will have to go to one of the stores. Before rushing in, look around for deals from the big bike shops too.

Just go to the store and have a look at it first - or look for a 2nd hand bargain. Or perhaps get a hardtail?

Well for a start it appears to have cable discs, not ideal.

Thing is if you go for a bottom of the range full susser, you may end up having a nasty ride compared to a decent hardtail. I would consider getting a bit more cash together and getting a better 2nd hand or old stock. Or just buy a nice new one on interest free credit!

ye, i can see where youre coming from but the rockrider got top marks for spec and beat 2 other similair priced hardtails hands down.

thanks for advice

... from a bunch of journos last seen writing for "What Fridge Magnet?", or something, who live in that well known mtb area, Peterborough.  If you want a shopping commuter or pub bike fair enough, but if you want a mountain bike then buy a hardtail or save up some more cash imho.

 :agree:

you'll not get the performance of full suss, but gain the weight... save more - or go hardtail

good 2nd hand full sussers can be had off fleabay for £600, that retail at £1200 ish... thats the entry level where full suss gives true benefits over hardtails..

and just dont go cable brakes, they are utterly shite
