I heard there is no such thing as optimal temperatures at Malham, it just flip flops from greenhouse to can't feel your extremities/gordale is frozen. Awaiting publication of nature paper on that front though.
I did consider writing something up about this - but couldn’t find the right (low) mix of impact factor and vaguely reputable journal (that would also be a soft touch...)
