Get to it photoshop people!!

So demanding. It took me all morning to clone enough raindrops to make it look like that tortoise was under water.

There was a frost in Yorks this morning, but it's about 20 degrees again now! This is why the calling is in the hands of a testudinean expert!

I know that wild speculation in the balmy times of September and early October is all part of The Calling but this is going above and beyond. I was outside in a t-shirt on Tuesday afternoon! Thank heavens for the tortoise, still safely in his box.

I climbed at Laddow in shorts on Sunday- had my shirt off for two routes! A few midges still about too.

One morning of single digit temps and people start packing their draws away and start dusting off their smearing boots!!!

Nah, the beauty of the Whites is that they work perfectly for Peak sport in spring, then ease themselves into comfy trad shoes for summer and finally relax into near perfect grit shoes before they die. God Bless 'em and RIP.

A lot of people tend to wear their draws all year round too.

I'm no vet, but I think that's technically referred to as a 'shell'

Went to secret garden at 10:30, touched the rock, spat at the ground in disgust and left. Don't think the grit is ready yet, even though I've been going after work sometimes, needs to be very windy!

It was all dry, it was more it's orientation that let it down today. Perhaps a good winter venue.

I'm so used to following the wind a the moment, that I did so without considering the direction of the sun. I'm sure it was OK in the shade early one, my back garden is North facing and that was still pretty cold at lunchtime.
