steady on there; it's not cold enough for pants and trousers

So your tortoise has not poked it's head out of your box yet? ;)

It is ---> it's

Something belonging to it ---> its

Read it through in your mind:

So your tortoise has not poked it is head out of your box yet?

does that sound right to you?

 :P

Called I reckon. Down jacket job yesterday evening at plantation. Sparked that end of summer yearning for those crisp cold blue sky days

It's actually time that the LIME was called.  Very good nick the three times I've been out in the last week (not that it's helped me get up anything)

I hope the tortoise is sensible and stays in slumber a little while longer. Optimal conditions are still not yet here and we could yet see a warm spell.

Is one of the signs seeing an ex-champion leading an expedition of teenagers across the moors?

You've got this arse about face. The tortoise will be awake now but will go to bed when the grit is called.

The gritstone tortoise won't.  I saw a scouse girl wearing a sensible amount of clothes.  This is a definite if unlikely harbinger of cooler temperatures.

Let us know if you ever see a Geordie lass dressed sensibly.
