SNO!zone, the indoor real snowsports centre at Xscape Castleford, is turning part of the park into a winter wonderland by building a real snow slope with freestyle rail lines.
In addition the Cliffhanger will play host to the British Bouldering Championships, an orient style UltraSprint orienteering competition and open event, Mountain Bike trials displays by Ben Slinger, Scuba Diving instruction, an on-site North-Shore Mountain Bike course, an open Skateboarding contest, come-and-try-it Climbing Walls and assault courses, Kayaking, Caving, Angling, a heap of demonstrations, and loads of outdoor bargains (Decathlon, Alpkit, planetFear, Go Outdoors, CragX and loads more). I missed sat due to work. Sounds like it was ace. Went today though with the family and we had a top time. The wife and kids loved it even though it was raining, the bouldering comp was brilliant (I wish I could climb as good as those kids) and we got some great bargains in the tents.
