Not quite Silk Cut!
April 28, 2008, 08:16:32 am
I doubt very much this one will take away from the recent Cave of Justice big news, but one for the cave devotees none the less.  I got this idea from the Original G, via the 'Crucifix Kiss Footless' problem (V11),Woodwell.  Basically, pull on at the Lou Ferino finger rail, then limb footless to the end of LF.  A good cave acid test that took me quite some time to say the least!  I think its around the V12 mark, and will try and post some shots later courtesy of Andy Perk.  Cool 8) (I think!).

Christ on a stick, Floppy!

Your capacity for self-promotion knows no bounds; you'll write-up footless ascents . . .

Meh!

What does FTW stand for?  Oddy - I've seen you far more exited for a lot less! As I say, true cave devotees only need apply.  If its good enough for Gaskins, its good enough for me!

By the way, a bit of info:  I had heard from a reliable source (Mr Doyle) that Crucial Times had now been deemed a crouch start at 8a - bollocks.  To prove a point, I did the deed off a spot pad yesterday - no cheating now.  Its a bit harder - 8a+, but don't fool yourself if you have tried it or climbed it from a crouch - its sitter, no more, no less.  Also, this is not because I have a huge span - My ape index is the same as Mr Hockings.  Anyway, I digress, catch ya later.

For True Winners.

Footless ascents are the true "blue ribbon" event in climbing. Unhindered by boots and unencumbered with beer you are free to climb at your limit.
Footless guide to the cave?

Certainley Mr Doyle - the team are psyched! If it does rain today, I take it it's still cool?  If so, 11am, McDonalds by the Dragons Fist Cafe?

Reminds me of the time I managed Brown's Mantle footless.  I was torn between alerting The New York Times, The San Fransico Herald or The Daily Mirror in Blighty.

In the end I went for the Bangalore Morning Star (for the underground cred).  If only UKB was around then . . .
