Another option _2 - Full Word and camo...
March 23, 2008, 12:30:18 pm
Bubba did say he wanted each design in a seperate thread, I think the two below are similar enough to be on the same thread....
See all the auguments for a back graphic in ANOTHER OPTION thread...

Camo version.
The text is bigger, but done as a two (plus base tee) colour camo.

Well, personally I find camo attractive and appropriate; but then I served in the Ghurkas 4th Rifles Regiment from 1977 to 82 seeing active service in the jungles of Java and Borneo . . .

Is that why you're not allowed to live in the UK?

Nah, wine is cheaper in mainland Europe; but it's still a struggle on a Ghurka pension . . .    :boohoo:

I rather like the camo thing and the unusual logo placement...

The vertical placement is definitely best yet. Not sure the camo shows up well enough though. Like the tonal colour scheme too

vertical placement is good couldn't the back just be a silhouette of a boulder or someone hanging from a roof?

Me too - and on the camo front - duma's point about it being a bit harder to read is a plus in my book, nice effort Sam (and good effort in general for the time you're putting into the designs).

Cheesy! Too much like a uni mountaineering club.

fair point undergrpound - I like subtle. Just thinking of examples the e9 bissa top (red and green one) has the logo in a darker tone of the base colour and looks good (well I bought one...)

I don't get the camo:  it's just toooo Guns and Ammo!

I don't get massive lettering:  it's just too overpriced Calvin Klein T-shirt to milk the underclass scum-style.

The side lettering I imagined smaller, as lettering can only say what it says and no more, irrespective of it's size.  Keep it discreet, reduce ink-use cost.

The url should be part of it (as sam has made down the side) but perhaps a logo or rather some design would be nice on the shoulder/bicep area.   I was thinking something along the lines of just that:  an arm w/ a curled bicep givin' it some.  Something butch but not gay.  And small (it should all be small, tasteful, discreet, exclusive.  Loud is trash.  Give someone reason to sidle up close and check it out, not half-squint from 2 clicks away.)  Nothing on the chest as that will face the rock.

my real opinion is.
ukb in small letters over one breast and a logo of some sort on the back of the neck collar.both of which in order to read or see they'd have to close enough to smell you.

Something else to consider is the finish of the logo. Already spoken with bubba 'bout it but it may affect what I like to call the 'Size' of the logo.

1. Embroidery - realistically up to 2 inches high. Much more pro finish - but less visible from the moon
2. Print - Any size, big complicated designed allowed, peels off after 2 washes and even mr magoo could see it.

Fuck it, put me down for one regardless.
