Anyone having problems with YouTube?
March 10, 2008, 11:41:11 am
Past 24 hours YouTube has been playing up.  I can watch linked vids on here fine.  I can watch the vids on peoples home pages (the ones top right) fine.
But, if i click on a video I get a message saying "Sorry, you haven't got the latest version of Java or Flash and need to update".  Odd, but i made sure I had the latest versions (I do), restarted, re-installed etc.  nothing- still get the same error message.
Anyone else had problems?
Any way I can sort it?

Only a thought, but is something not ticked in tools/internet options/advanced or the equivalent menu in whatever browser you use? And when you suck eggs it is important to put a hole in both ends of the egg... ;)

You might need to switch on the Blasphemy filter if you are using Sharia protocols or haven't upgraded from Torah with releases from an appropriate Prophet. This sorted things out last time youtube was down.

Right, I've uninstalled Java and all of its annoying parts, then re-installed the newest version (as opposed to updating) and it works.  Weird.
Cheers for your help LSF  :-\

Last night and this morning - I can't get on to youtube, or any other google services for that matter. Has the google empire become so large that it has become unmanagable? Has Google developed self awareness and decided to spend its time looking for other AI in other parts of the galaxy?
