pretty good stuff. after another 5 days use in font last week it's still one of best guides ever.

Rain did fall today, although it was probably less than 10 drops. However, it's misty as hell so I'm chilling. Don't you worry cofe, I shan't be using the wall here anytime soon!

Guess it depends where the derivation comes from, although thinking about it you're no doubt right. Perhaps I should have just said it was a pun.

The guy's a legend and a genius. For me this guide really illustrates why one person with passion is far more useful than any committee.

Panton has a bit of a review in this month's climber, I think he must have read this first as he makes the point about east-west ridges.

I hadn't read that, but did know about the ridges justification for the landscape format from an email conversation with Bart (I told him I didn't like landscape format guidebooks, and he responded).

Let's just hope he doesn't succeed then (in showing them there's more than BQ) or everywhere will be like that.
