He redefines the term douchebag.

Word. I watch until the first ad break when he started spouting hippy platitudes and suddenly the thought of scraping wallpaper off the walls seemed more enjoyable and did that instead. Thanks Dean.

- people who seem to use hazard lights on the car as "i'm parked illegally on double yellows, probably in a bus lane on a busy road like a twat cos which is going to inconvenience everyone else cos I'm too lazy to walk more than 10foot to the takeaway or spar so you'd better deal with it" lights.

People who nag on about Dean Potter spouting New Age platitudes. I honestly don't think he does.
Loser trapped in an unrewarding cycle of "Deep Play" endevours, only realising at 36yrs old that human interaction is more rewarding. Yes.
New age hippy. No.

On a similar theme (may get lynched but hey)...

People who indicate expecting people to let them in.  Er no.  It's mirror, signal, maneouvre (the signalling part coming after it's clear to move off).  In a driving test I'm sure that's a fault of some sort.

My pet motoring gripe of the week is side lights.

Why the fuck bother. Either have your headlights the fuck on, so everyone can see you or off - if its daylight! Especially at dusk, those sidelights just blend into the surrounding scenery. Then there are the fuckwit cocksuckers who have piddly little sidelights on at the front, but probably thing they have their headlights on because their instrument lights are on. Probably pootling around in fucking oblivious dreamland. Dicks. Fucking wankers, stick the lot of the pricks in 101.

Rant over.

Note to self - remember to talk to counsellor about pent up rage and anger management at next meeting.

You've obviously never owned or driven a Volvo where the sidelights come on automatically irrespective of the time of day/conditions?

Admittedly thats a good case for not driving a Volvo if it bothers you, but they are quite nice cars really (and woe be-tide anyone who hits one as they're built like tanks!).

yeah volvos lights are on all the time, being scandanavian. ditto saabs I think.

there are plenty of times where having main beam on is the runup to dusk just serves to dazzle people coming the other way unnecessarily. also I think legally if you're parked on a road facing the oncoming traffic you're supposed to leave you sidelights (i.e. parking lights) on, although no-one does.

I thought that the parking light thing was law on the continent (hence why my VW automatically puts the "parking light" on if you leave the indicator on) but was actually against the law here. I could be wrong, who fucking cares etc.

You're in for a treat: (EU Legislation) "from February 2011 onwards all new cars and small vans will be required to be manufactured with daytime running lights."

Quote from: lagerpedia
wigga-wogese: a vaguely derogatory name for Street Talk (see street). This term has been adopted by those who feel alienated from their own culture and dislike seeing others try to join in with cultures other than those into which they were born; especially where the WW users appear to be enjoying themselves

Ah, so the use of "wog" is meant to be flippant or amusing. Well it's not so don't use it here. I've already had to edit your use of "chink" Houdini. Such racial slurs are not acceptable here. What is this, the 70s or something?

Regarding the use of wigga type slang on ukb; it's done in irony, not to appear cool and has been a part of ukb since it's formation.

Reading that reminded me of this, skip to about 5 mins if you're short of time.

Alain Robert has already been consigned to a life in Room 101 thankfully but can I nominate people who ring me up to tell me that the bloody fool is on the TV while I am trying to watch something else?

I'd like to nominate contestants who show up for university challenge wearing any old fucking t-shirt - you're on telly for fuck's sake, at least make an effort.

the worst ones are the really drained looking women in dressing gowns stood outside jessops who are not only smoking but have clearly just given birth.

infact it really riles me anytime i see anyone smoking with with or anywhere near kids in any context.

you'll also get pissed of with people on hospital wards who talk loudly on mobile phones, disturbing very knackered people like mum's who've just given birth.
